Thank you this has been very helpful. So when I will want to burn some calories I will always go with biking and the faster I will go more calories I will burn. I’m also glad you gave me exact numbers how much calories I can expect to burn. On the other hand when I will want to pump muscles I will go with weightlifting.

I definitely like both…biking and weight lifting. However, I don’t really do biking for exercise, more for recreation. So I guess the answer would be weight lifting more. That said, I definitely appreciate weight lifting because, while it may not burn as many calories as biking at the time, muscle development helps to burn calories in the long run. Also, I like how muscles look! But both exercise are quite effective for fitness goals!

      Hi Lindsey,

I agree with you, biking for me is more for warming up and staying loose. Although they’re great benefits for both activities. In addition, biking can be a full workout with increase intensity. Thanks for the feedback, cheers!!!

Biking where I live burns a ton of calories. There is no flat surfaces, it’s all hills. Even when I go biking for 30 minutes I already feel the intense burn in my thighs. Incredible. Glad to know that I’m burning a good amount of calories for the work I’m doing!

Biking for 30 minutes is a great exercise, especially if the surface is uneven. Keep up the good work, cheers.
